ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Steven Katz is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and earned his M.Ed. in Computer-Based Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He has taught at the middle school level for ten years in Los Angeles County and since 2003 in Costa Rica. Mr. Katz also taught two years in the teacher credential and master's program of education at Chapman University in Orange, California.
During his teaching career, Mr. Katz has specialized in social studies and technology, although he has been called upon to teach a variety of different subjects and has been a technology coordinator, professional development coordinator, and mentor teacher. He has been recognized in his district as Teacher of the Year, District Teacher of the Year Finalist, and was also awarded the Multiple Subject Outstanding Faculty Member at Chapman University in 2003.
In addition to his current teaching duties Mr. Katz presents technology workshops and seminars in the United States and internationally.
